Michael W. Cramer has practiced civil litigation since 1984. He has been lead counsel in a number of major personal injury, product liability, workers’ compensation, LHWCA, real estate, commercial and construction cases, including all aspects of discovery and trial. He has conducted hundreds of depositions, specializing in the depositions of physicians. Mr. Cramer has represented individuals, small companies and large corporations on both sides of the docket. Mr. Cramer is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Best’s Recommended Insurance Attorneys and Adjusters. Mr. Cramer is a member of the Litigation Section and Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Bar Association. He is a past Vice President of the Katy Bar Association.

Representative Jury Trials:
Serious Injury – Secured defense verdict for trucking company involving the collision of a motorcycle and an eighteen-wheeler when the truck was ticketed for making an improper right turn. (Calcote)

Death – Represented defendant trucking company and its driver in auto-truck collision wrongful death case. In a “swearing match” as to which vehicle caused the accident, gained a defense verdict through the cross-examination of the Plaintiff’s accident reconstruction expert. (Parkinson)

Serious Injury – Represented defendant in nightclub negligent security case where a patron was stabbed by six assailants, causing a ruptured spleen, a collapsed lung and multiple other injuries, resulting in a lengthy hospitalization: gained a defense verdict. (Reyes)

Commercial Litigation/Construction – Represented electrical subcontractor in breach of contract case against general contractor involving numlerous affirmative defenses, including faulty electrical work: verdict for client, including all attorney’s fees. Post-verdict litigation included the discovery of an out of state fraudulent transfer of funds and piercing the corporate veil, resulting in a substantial recovery for the client in unlikely circumstances.
